Cain - Yaoi - Volume 1
Cain Volume 1 book is an introduction of Cain the Dark. He is an incredible swordsmen and commander who works
for a nearly unimportant lord but due to Cain, people are starting to take notice of this lord because Cain is winning a lot of battle for him and battles won equal a lot of land acquired.
One day while returning from his latest victory Cain sees a young boy who he takes under his control and “tutors.” The boy’s name is Vanquish and he is an orphan. So obviously, there is no problem of him belonging to Cain.
After struggling with his feelings and being taunted because he is Cain’s toy, Vanquisher begins to realize that Cain has indeed chosen him for a reason (he actually loves him) and he is not Cain’s latest “toy”.
MY NOTES:
There wasn’t anything too shocking to my “virgin” Yaoi eyes. There were a few scenes of a naked Vanquish but his “delicate” area was covered up. And then there was this one scene where Cain kissed Vanquish but again nothing shocking there. If you watch most movies or TV you’ll see a lot worst.
Oh, there seems to be plenty of sexual innuendos. For example, Vanquish receives a sword from Cain (maybe I’m making too much of this but) the way he sits over the sword and the way it was positioned between his legs . . . played with the imagination a bit.
Another thing about this book is that it does not read right to left like other manga books. Cain reads left to right which was a little strange. I had to reprogram my brain and eyes to read it like I would any other non-manga book. How funny that my brain and eyes have gotten so accustomed to reading manga right to left.
