Sorry for the long absent. I’ve been silently waiting for Loveless 9 and the next Vassalord 4 to be released in the states.

I haven’t heard anything as of yet ;-(  However, I’ve still been enjoying manga related activities like getting a hold of a sample of OneStopYaoiShop’s “Sweet Yaoi Dream Collection”.

Kat, sent me a sample of their exclusive Ren and Yuki’s: Tranquil Dream Pillow. I love this pillow. It always puts a smile on my face.

I’ve been told that they are working on a Relaxation Dream Pillow which will feature a new color with embellishments.

Man, January just flew right pass me. I hadn’t realized it until I turn my Yaoi calendar to February and saw Ren and Yuki from OneStopYaoiShop exchanging a Valentine’s gift (aren’t they just a cute couple)

Despite being single (another year) I can still enjoy the Hallmark holiday. I plan to pop in some of my favorite anime like Saiyuki, Gakuen Heaven, Darker Than Black, Black Blood Brothers and a few others to embrace me this Valentine’s Day (nothing like cute anime boys to warm the heart).

What are you planning on doing for Valentine’s. Please be gentle. If you’re going to be spending it with a love one, that’s great, just don’t brag about it (I’ll start to feel a bit jealous) j/k

I just received my 2010 yaoi calendar from OneStopYaoiShop. It is so beautiful! Yuki and Ren are soo cute together. I had to flip through the whole calendar because there was no way I could patiently  as the month’s went by to see what the 2 would be up to next.

I really like this calendar because there are no graphic sex scenes which means I can put it on my wall and not have to explain it or hide it or feel embarrass about it at all. Every time I look at it a smile spreads across my face, it’s just so cute.

I was talking with my friend about her experience on eBay. She’s been buying yaoi manga from a seller (using her father’s account) and everything seemed to be going well until one day when her package was missing 1 manga. When she contacted the seller they immediately denied any wrong doing but after investigating the matter (meaning she opened a paypal dispute) they did some research and discovered that indeed the manga was missing. They told her that due to the holidays she would not be able to receive her manga until after Christmas which she said was fine but she wouldn’t close the dispute until she got the manga (smart move). I must add that up until this point they had been communicating via eBay’s message channel. Then sometime during that conversation the seller or someone from the seller’s camp directly contacted my friend via her email.

They gave a long sob story about how their paypal balance was in the negative due to her filing the claim. They said they couldn’t send her the book now and that it would be cheaper to just refund her the book ($9.99). When I read this email myself I was shocked that they would not honor their original agreement to ship the manga and then to give a sob story making it as if my friend was the major cause for their negative balance. After reading this email she decided she’ll just get the refund and be through with it. So she replies back to the email and submits a copy via of eBay (their original channel of communication).

On November 30, 2009 she gets a snarky email saying her request for a refund is denied since they were going to send her the manga. Now, this response totally through her for a loop. Aren’t they the ones saying that their balance was in the negative and they couldn’t send the book because of it??? Hmm. . . . It just so happens that on November 30 she received the manga. So my friend responds by telling them (at this point she and I are assuming she’s talking to multiple people) that the manga arrived and she will be closing the paypal dispute and finishing the whole situation herself since she had NO idea who the person she was dealing with really was (they never stated their name). It was as if she was talking to 2 different people – 1 nice, 1 mean and rude

One minute their blaming/accusing her for a book they did NOT send out, the next they are accusing her for their negative paypal balance and then finally their saying NO refund when it was them who said it would be better to issue a refund then to ship a manga (which by the way the shipping was approx $3.00)

So, on November 30, 2009 she closed everything and thought that was the end. Oh, no! The seller had to get one last word – once again blaming my friend . . .

I told my friend NOT to respond anymore to this “take no responsibility seller”

This is a global economy if you can NOT offer outstanding customer service there are plenty of other shops around who do. Too bad for that seller (not really – I can care less about this seller) my friend had planned to spend at least $500 with this seller (she building herself one heck of a yaoi collection) Now some other lucky seller/shop will totally benefit.

Lesson:
Don’t put up with horrible sellers with awful communication and customer service and please run away quickly from sellers who try to sale you below standard products and then won’t stand by their products.

You got other options – that’s what makes the World Wide Web so wonderful

I wanted to let you know that you really have to watch your back out there when you’re purchasing manga for your collection. Don’t let the low prices fool you – they’re probably compensating for something i.e. poor customer service/communication. Not all seller and site are like this but be aware that there are some bad seeds out there

So, Zoei from One Stop Yaoi Shop posted a video on her site and suggested that I check it out. I did and I was really shocked and surprised by what I saw.

As you know I’ve been reading a few yaoi manga and have yet to find one that captured my attention. So, I figured this yaoi video would be more of the same old same old. Boy was I wrong. This video totally surprised me and it was nothing liked the yaoi manga I’ve read so far.

It’s what you would call Hardcore Yaoi! There was nothing left to the imagination in this video.

If you love hardcore yaoi then you’ll love this video

If you’ve never seen hardcore yaoi before and are curious just be prepared to see the uke and seme get it on

and if you like shonen-ai and want to keep it that way, it’s probably best to skip the video.

After watching that video I don’t think I’m quite ready to jump into hardcore yaoi, yet. I much prefer my shonen-ai and softer yaoi. Only time will tell if I make that transition to hardcore but I can honestly say that at this moment hardcore yaoi is just a bit too hardcore for me.

Maybe if I work myself up – gradually increasing the intensity I’ll be able to read and watch hardcore yaoi. I don’t know . . . but in any case if you’d like to watch the video click the link below
