Loveless Volume 3This volume of Loveless contains more chapters then the previous ones but luckily they are small chapters (which is good I hate long chapters in any book that I read. It reminds me of school books with their long chapters).

Sixth chapter – The battle between Soubi and the Zeros continues and Soubi is getting his a** severely kicked. He starts to remember things from his youth that he has tried so hard to forget, his sensei (he remembers words from his sensei pertaining to the Zeros and pain). They can not feel anything therefore they do not know when their body can no longer withstand pain until it’s too late. Soubi uses this information to his advantage.

Seventh chapter – The Zeros are ruthless and are not abiding by the rules of battle. Soubi releases a spell that finally provides significant damage to the Zero sacrifice and the Zero goes down (since they can not feel they did not realize that the cold/ice spell Soubi cast was lowering the temperature to freezing and their bodies were getting cold). Soubi wins!

He wakes up Shinonome (he is a bloody mess). She tries to tend to his wounds but he repeatedly refuses (in his typical harsh manner). All the while Ritsuka has no idea what has occurred (Soubi, the fighter unit, and Ritsuka, the sacrifice, are not yet connected).

Eighth chapter – Soubi wants to see Ritsuka. He goes to Ritsuka’s room but stands out side the patio door (covered by the curtains). He doesn’t want Ritsuka to see him in this badly beaten condition. Ritsuka doesn’t understand why Soubi is acting so strangely. Soubi abruptly leaves. Ritsuka sees blood on the floor. He suspects Soubi is injured.

At school the next day, Shinonome is hung-up on Soubi and the previous night. She tells Ritsuka that Soubi saved her life last night. Ritsuka finally puts it all together and sends an email to Soubi ordering him never to lie again.

Ninth chapter – Ritsuka is invited to Yayoi’s house to play video games. While playing a game he sees a string of numbers and letters on a piece of paper near by (similar to the numbers and letters he won from Sleepless). Yayoi tells him it is a Rendezvous.

Tenth chapter – Kio goes over to Soubi’s and discovers that 2 kids are living there with Soubi. Soubi took the Zeros in because they had no place to go. Together they have dinner and dessert.

Later that night, Ritsuka is about to play the Wisdom Resurrection game (from the piece of paper) but he first must deal with his mother who has laid a trap for him at dinner. After dinner he goes to the computer and begins Wisdom Resurrection.

Eleventh chapter – Ritsuka enters the information from the piece of paper about the Rendezvous. Once there, he meets a member of Septimal Moon but she will only answer yes or no questions. Through their Q&A he learns that Septimal moon is made up of 6 people and that they did kill Seimei but it wasn’t her that did it. Ritsuka ends up falling asleep (game started late and he is not use to staying up late). Soubi arrives and places the sleeping Ritsuka into bed. **NOTE: Seimei also played this game and was a level 100 player END NOTE**

Twelfth chapter – The next day Ritsuka is tired and he tries to take naps during class to prepare for tonight’s game play. So, he is excused to go to the nurses office to sleep (the nurse thinks he is sick).

At Soubi’s, the Zero Yoji can not sleep. He is worried by the fact that his sensei has not contacted him since losing against Soubi. So Soubi helps him get some sleep by giving him a cup of warm milk and putting him under a sleeping spell (most likely).

Thirteenth chapter – the fourth pair of fighter units and sacrifices arrive. Both of them are girls without ears. Soubi meets the new Zeros outside of Ritsuka’s school while he is waiting for Ritsuka. They are eager to take Soubi down.
