Loveless Manga Volume 5 The Sacrifice Chapters

Filed under: Uncategorized — Wrote by Micah on June 3rd, 2008

First chapter – Ritsuka does not attend school today so that he can get some rest for his game play tonight. He tries a few different places to sleep but ends up napping in between Yoji and Natsuo. During his sleep he has a bad dream about Seimei and abruptly wakes up.

Ritsuka and Soubi Vol. 5He tells the Zeros and Soubi that he isn’t going home tonight. He is staying over to play Wisdom Resurrection in order to get closer to Septimal Moon.

Nagisa visits Seven (this is the person Ritsuka met the first time during the Wisdom Resurrection game). She came to discuss how much she dislikes Soubi and how she is looking forward to Loveless being with his true fighter unit (She also has a thing for Ritsu, Soubi’s sensei). Ritsu sends a message scheduling an appointment with Seven later that night.

Ritsuka is online playing Wisdom Resurrection.

Second chapter – Loveless is online. There is Seven, Nagisa, and Ritsu. Apparently Nagisa and Ritsu are not members of Septimal Moon (strange?) but Seimei was a member. Seven informs Ritsuka that she doesn’t know who killed him but #4 might. She’ll let the two meet if he tells them all about Seimei. Ritsuka does and it seems as people remember Seimei differently from what Ritsuka describes (so which one is the real Seimei?)

Third chapter – Was Seimei obsess with Ritsuka/Loveless? Seven and Ritsu believe so and they think it has affected Ritsuka’s. Seven reveals that Septimal Moon believes Seimei is still alive. They had voted for his death but he had died before the set date. They are not convinced he is dead because the police could not provide any hard evidence (so, is Seimei really alive? Poor Ritsuka, what will he do now?)

Fourth chapter -Seven tells Ritsuka that Soubi knows all about Seimei and his sins and that he could just ask Soubi for the truth (everyone knows he won’t tell Ritsuka what he wants). Ritsuka asks Soubi if Seimei is really alive and Soubi states “Seimei is dead.”

Ritsuka’s mom is awakened by a phone call asking where her son Ritsuka is. This alerts her that her son is not home. She makes several frantic calls to the parents of his classmates. Yuiko hears her mom on the phone and notifies Ritsuka about his mother. He leaves Soubi’s. Soubi follows at a distance (he knows that his mother beats him).

Fifth chapter – We are introduced to 3 new characters, Mimuro, Mei, and Nisei. And it seems that Nisei called Ritsuka’s mom and ratted him out. The other 2 look to be two new pairs.

Ritsuka arrives home and his mother lets him have it (crazy, psychotic, “witch”). Ritsuka handles the abuse the best way he knows how.
Sixth chapter – Ritsuka’s mom, Misaki Aoyagi, has locked herself in her bedroom. Ritsuka stands outside her door asking her to change out of her wet clothes. She goes on a tyrant of yelling for him to leave her alone and how she shouldn’t be beaten her son (duh!) Soubi enters the house (using a key). Ritsuka’ races over to him. The phone rings and Misaki answers. She says it is Seimei calling, again. Ritsuka can only think that he trusted and believed in Soubi’s statement about Seimei. Seimei is dead.

Mimuro and Mei are in a park waiting for Ritsuka and Soubi to arrive. They are only supposed to delay the two (but for what?)

Seventh chapter – The phone call earlier instructed Ritsuka and Soubi to go to the park in District 2. They arrive and meet the Fearless pair. The battle is on.

Back at home a person enters claiming to be Seimei. Misaki is overjoyed. Seimei is here to save her but this Seimei says he can not return home until Ritsuka is gone. He tries to nudge Misaki’s thinking into making Ritsuka go away “forever”.

Eighth chapter – The Fearless pair are not much of a threat for Soubi and Ritsuka. The fighter unit is young and doesn’t have much of a vocabulary to defend or attack.

Ninth chapter – Soubi and Ritsuka easily win. The would be Seimei gives Misaki a huge helping of sleeping pills and suggestions that she kill Ritsuka as soon as he returns. She says she cannot do it. She wants both Seimei and Ritsuka and falls asleep (this woman has some issues . . . what’s her story?) This Seimei leaves and makes a phone call telling the other person on the line everything that has transpired between he and Misaki. And then hangs up by saying goodbye Seimei (What the  . . . yea, that’s right Seimei is alive and all these things that have happened tonight were his doing but why?)

Ritsuka returns home to find his mother asleep in the hallway. With Soubi’s help he is able to put her to bed. Ritsuka then questions Soubi on where he got the key to enter his house. Seimei must’ve given it to him but there’s only one problem . . . they moved to this house after Seimei’s death. So, that means Seimei is alive.

Story Detour >> Ritsuka’s Day

Ritsuka has a flashback dream about him and Seimei where he discovers why he and Seimei received the names they have. Seimei suggests to Ritsuka that he go and read their mother’s diary. Ritsuka doesn’t want to do it. It is her secret and when she is confident to tell him it would be more special. He wakes up. It is December 21, his birthday. There is no one around his home who remembered but unbeknownst to him Soubi, Yuiko, Yayoi, the Zeros, and Kio are preparing him a birthday party.
