Loveless Manga Volume 7 The Septimal Moon Chapters
First chapter – Soubi and Ritsuka make their way to Gora but they do not go there alone. Kio has also joined the traveling duo (because 1. it is his car and 2. he wants to come along).
Kio and Ritsuka sit in the backseat and discuss Seimei. According to Kio, Seimei was a violent person who scarred Soubi’s body. Ritsuka doesn’t want to believe this but deep down he knows it is true. He has a feeling Kio isn’t lying. Ritsuka starts to recall incidents were Seimei either destroyed or screwed up his plans and gifts (why would he do this to his brother?)
At a rest stop, Kio goes to the restroom while Ritsuka demands Soubi take off his clothes so that he can see his body. Even though Soubi says what Kio described were lies, Ritsuka wants to see the truth with his own eyes. Soubi begins to remove his clothing . . . Ritsuka knows what Kio spoke of was true!
Second chapter – Ritsuka sees the bruises and scars left from Seimei in particularly the name BELOVED carved into the flesh of his neck. Ritsuka views Soubi as a masochist and Seimei as a sadist, perfect match! (but where does that leave Ritsuka)
The travelling 3 arrive at the Seven Voices Academy. Soubi arranges for them to stay there for the night. Kio and Ritsuka are a bit unclear as to why they are staying at a school. Soubi explains they must pass through the Seven Voices Academy to reach Septimal Moon.
Third chapter – As Soubi, Ritsuka, and Kio head behind the double doors of the school Kio is unexpectedly told he would not be able to stay there for the night. Of course he is upset and knows Soubi knew he won’t be able to stay (tricky Soubi). So, Kio is forced outside with no means of reentering. He could stay at a place off site that they have provided for him but he chooses to stand outside waiting for Ritsuka and Soubi to return.
Behind the double doors of Seven Voices Academy, Ritsuka and Soubi run into to the Breathless pair in the hallway. Midori takes Ritsuka to a room to prepare for tonight’s training exercise.
In the hallway Ai and Soubi carry on a conversation and their loud voices disturbed the principal. Ritsu comes out of his office (Soubi doesn’t seem too happy to see him).
Fourth chapter – The training exercise has begun. Each pair must search for one another then battle another pair. Midori drags Rituska to teach him how the training exercise works. Ai is calling out to Midori if he listens he will hear her call. He tells Ritsuka, if he calls on Soubi, Soubi will hear him and come to him.
Seven and Nagisa are watching the training exercise but suddenly they notice something unsettling about the security system. Someone or something is trying to break into the school. It’s Seimei and Nisei who are breaking into the school.
Nisei arrives at the entrance and sees Kio. Nisei uses a spell to break the glass doors which in turn knocks out Kio. Meanwhile, Ai hears Midori calling and goes running towards him. Ritsu and Soubi remain in the hallway discussing the Gossamar thread that connects a Fighter Unit and Sacrifice together (poor Soubi his thread is torn).
Fifth chapter – Seven and Nagisa notify Ritsu that an intruder has entered the school (it is “they” Seimei and Nisei). Ritsu doesn’t seem surprise but a pale Soubi leaves to go looking for Ritsuka (is he afraid of Seimei?)
Ritsuka is with Ai and Midori. He now sees the Gossamar thread that bounds them together. He also sees his own thread (where does it lead? To Soubi or to the real Loveless Fighter Unit?)
Seimei and Nisei have entered the main lobby. Seimei orders Nisei to go see Ritsuka. All of these events thus far were tests created by Seimei to determine rather Ritsuka can still love him after everything he as done (Can Ritsuka love the true Seimei? It’s a pretty heavy load for a 12 year old to have to deal with)
Nisei heads towards Ritsuka.
Sixth chapter – Nisei sees Ritsuka and the Breathless pair in the hallway. Over the speaker the students are ordered not to engage a battle with the intruder and to return to their rooms. Of course, Breathless disregards the message and accepts Nisei challenge for battle. They ask Ritsuka to runway but he doesn’t. Nisei attacks and the Breathless pair are unable to defend or attack (Nisei is too powerful). Ritsuka jumps in front of the pair and demands Nisei to stop and he finally calls out for Soubi. And surprisingly Soubi actually hears/senses Ritsuka’s call and heads towards him.
Soubi arrives and Ritsuka orders him to take Nisei down. Soubi complies and the battle by word spell begins. It’s Beloved (Nisei) against Loveless (Soubi).
The showdown begins!
Seventh chapter – Nisei begins by informing Ritsuka that Seimei is alive. This sends Ritsuka on a path of deep destructive thinking: “Why did he leave? Did he leave because he no longer liked me?” (oh, poor Ritsuka).
Nisei tells Ritsuka and Soubi that Seimei won’t ever come back to either one of them. These words allow Nisei to place restrictions on Ritsuka. Soubi catches on and snaps Ritsuka out of his funk. Now it’s payback time!
Soubi casts a word spell at Nisei and it is felt by Seimei. He soon concludes that the two “Beloved’s” are fighting.
Eight chapter - It’s white against black or it is light vs. dark? Anywho, it’s Soubi against Nisei. Nisei has the power because his name is Beloved and Soubi . . .? Well, Soubi doesn’t have a true sacrifice so he is ultimately at a disadvantage. So he asks Ritsuka (in a very adorable way) if he can become his fighter unit. It’s time for Ritsuka to step up and either accept/love Soubi as his fighter unit or reject him.
Ritsuka decides to take Soubi as his fighter unit (yea!) and Nisei doesn’t like Ritsuka’s decision at all.
Now, Soubi has the strength to take on Nisei fully and he does. It doesn’t look like Nisei can defend against Soubi’s attacks. He calls out for Seimei but Seimei has other plans and ignores Nisei’s call.
Seimei on the other hand is heading down a dark corridor but is abruptly stopped by Ritsu. Apparently, Seimei hasn’t the authorization to go down the hallway (what’s down there anyway? Septimal Moon?)
As the volume comes to an end, Soubi places Nisei in a binding spell (oh boy, who is going win this fight?) and the volume ends.
Story Detour => Yuiko’s Rock-Paper-Scissors-Train
During the morning assembly the students play rock-paper-scissors. Yuiko is the reigning champion but Ritsuka also claims to be an excellent player as well. As the students participate it is clear that Yuiko and Ritsuka are both excellent players.
It’s down to the two of them. Yuiko has her strategy. She can instantaneously tell which hand her opponent will show by reading their body language. She reveals this information to Ritsuka but he is more concern as to how he is going to beat her.
He comes up with a plan. He tells her if she wins she can order him around. This is a bit much for her and she ultimately loses (He knew she couldn’t bring herself to order him around and would let him win). That’s not entirely true, according to Yuiko.

*NOTE: This is a really cute section about Ritsuka’s “Help You Do Stuff Coupon Super Ticket” He only gives out these prized possessions to the special people in his life: Seimei, Soubi, and Yuiko (Ritsuka is so cute and adorable!)
That’s it for Loveless Volume 7 The Septimal Moon Chapters (boo who) but the next volume is scheduled for release in the fall of 2008. Guess I’ll have to find another manga to occupy my time until then. It want be too hard, though.
Until then,
